Trust is usually discussed as a soft property. In operational systems it behaves more like an interface design problem.

If users, operators, and downstream services cannot see which controls apply, which policies fired, and where system output came from, then “trust” is only posture. A trustworthy system exposes enough structure to let people reason about its behavior.

Runtime controls, provenance, and decision visibility belong on the product surface rather than behind it.
